Have you ever heard that we should enjoy little things? Our Erasmus students decided to discover if it´s possible to enjoy one day in little picturasque historical town in north-eastern Slovakia. In spite of the fact that autumn weather wasn´t very nice, around 30 Erasmus students took their scarfs, caps, gloves and they were ready to visit next beautiful place – small historical town called Bardejov. After 2 hours in train we were in Bardejov. It is one of the oldest Slovak towns. It´s inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List and it offers lots of historical and cultural treasures. Our personal tour guide took us for walk around the historical center and showed us the most interesting things in Bardejov: town fortification,  square with city hall, burgher houses, former Jewish bath and synagogue, Franciscan monastery, city park, Street of John Lenon and then we visited St. Egidius basilica. There was beautiful view from the tower of basilica and we could see surrounding area of the town. After short walk and some time at dizzy height, we were really hungry, so we decided to taste food in local restaurant named by patron of the town – knight Roland. After tasty lunch we took yellow bus. Don´t worry, it wasn´t any school bus. This bus took us to better place – Bardejov Spa located 6 km form Bardejov. Spa are surrounded by beautiful nature. We had opportunity to taste healing mineral water from rare spring which you can find there and we also tried typical spa wafers which are made in Bardejov Spa. Some of us visited also open air museum of folk architecture where you can see typical wooden village of eastern Slovakia. And after whole day we could finally relax in saunas and swimming pools, because we ended our trip in wellness center Ozon. There are no doubts that we would be able to spend next few hours in wellness but we had to come back to Košice. We were little bit tired after whole day when we were sitting in train heading to Košice, however we were happy that we could uncover next piece of national heritage hidden in small town. We really enjoyed this day!
