Trip2Budapest  13 -17th November

In november  ESN Košice team organised annual big trip to the capital and the largest city of Hungary: Budapest. We prepared three-day plan for exploring of this city.  Because a lot of Erasmus students were interested in this trip we divided 50 people into two groups to manage the transport by train.

On Friday 13th November in the morning the first group of people went together by the train at 6am to Budapest.  We checked-in around 10am in the hostel and started the tour around Budapest.  We walked in the city and visited the Basilica of St. Stephan and got up the tower to see the beautiful view of the city. We went to see the riverside and the great building of the Parliament, then we separated and went to eat and we continued with a small tour on the Margaret Island. Afterwards we met the other group at the hostel we spend together a wonderful time, talking and laughing before we went out to discover the city at night. After enjoying the nightlife full of people and lights, we went to rest in our comfortable hostel Adagio which had very nicely designed rooms.

The next day, as the sun was shining and the weather was wonderful for a visit of the Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion, we went all together to see Budapest from an another perspective.  After enjoying the places around Heroes Square and the Vajdahunyad Castle with a small market full of people, most of us decided to visit one of the largest spa complex in Europe, the first thermal bath in Pest: Széchenyi Baths. Sauna and sitting in the hot water under the shining sky was just too relaxing. Meeting together in the hostel and again spending time in the streets was more than enjoyable.

The dark Sunday couldn't discourage us to visit the wonderful Liberty Statue. To let see all people the wonderful buildings they missed on Friday we separate and could even more enjoy the city by ourselves. Discovering every corner. Trying all the good meals like Goulash and Lángoš made us hard to say goodbye to this amazing city. Tired but full of pleasure we took the train back to Košice in the evening.
