Slovak SocialErasmus Coordinators attended an educative and teambuilding meeting at the house of the Jaroslava Krutáková (International SocialErasmus Secretary) from 31st January to 2nd February 2014. Other members of the ESN had honoured us with their presence at the meeting to share their knowledge in different fields via workshops. In total it was 14 amazing people who attended this event full of workshops and teambuilding.

First we had some activities to get to know each other better and then we had a delicious dinner. With full stomachs we moved to the living room where the host of the whole event held a presentation about SocialErasmus – what it is, its aims and some interesting achievements all over the world. Afterwards Kristína Candrákova (National SocialErasmus Coordinator) held an interesting workshop about Erasmus in Schools activities. Its aim is to make foreign students cooperate and complete different activities with pupils from all kind of primary and secondary schools.

After those two workshops we watched the movie The Shawshank Redemption followed by a discussion about the film.

The following day was even more intensive. Five workshops were held from different fields. The first one was a fundraising workshop presented by Janka Gašperová (ESN VSEMVS) where we learnt how to communicate with companies and fundraise money for SocialErasmus activities. Mirka Švábová (ESN Alumni) held a workshop about available grants for SocialErasmus projects and taught us how to write them. We had a lunch break and continued with a PR workshop also presented by Janka Gašperová. Its aim was to learn how to share our achievements so the world learns about us. In the evening we had a workshop about creating action plans held by Jaroslava Krutáková. Coordinators have developed their own action plans for the upcoming semester.

In-between all those intensive workshops we played some interactive and board games.

On the last day of this three-day event we had a special guest Maxo who shared his thoughts with us how to motivate foreign students to attend SocialErasmus activities.

As a local SocialErasmus coordinator I would like to thank to the host and all the participants for a wonderful weekend and wish them a productive semester.
