On 8th december 2013 ESN Košice organized a one day trip to Bardejov city and spa. The coordinators were Barbora Korchnak and Veronika Eibenová. This wellness trip was really pleasant with nice sunny weather. We enjoyed a beautiful white snowy landscape around us. Just 3 Erasmus students joined us, so they felt like "VIP"!

After we arrived to Bardejov, the city inscribed on the UNESCO heritage list, we went to see the medieval walls in the historical city centre. Later we went to the main square where we saw historical buildings and the main monument – the gothic church of St. Egidius. It was quite cold so we decided to visit a patisserie in the city centre and warm up with hot chocolate. There we had a very pleasant conversation. Afterwards we walked through city to found a small "John Lennon" park dedicated to The Beatles. There were rocks where names of band members and names of their most famous songs are engraved.

When we moved by bus to the area of Bardejov spa where we enjoyed traditional spa wafers "Kúpeľné oplátky".

Later we went to "SKANZEN" - an open air museum of Slovak culture with historical Slovak houses, a wooden church and typical folklore clothing. There we saw how ordinary slovak people lived.

Then we walked around the SPA areal, we found a statue of beautiful Empress Elisabeth, called Sisi. Afterwards we came into the hall with 10 mineral springs and we drank a little of each. The best one called Hercules enjoyed our guys, because it supports the male potency.

Later we had lunch in restaurant Srdiecko (sweet hearth). After lunch we had a siesta time with full stomachs. Then we moved to last point of our schedule - three hours of wellness saunas and swimming pools.

To sum it up, we found new friends, we learned about Slovak culture and also it was really healthy day with fresh air, walking, good food and relax.
